IssueFolio is a local-first tool. It is designed so that the information you capture in the field, the photos you take, and the reports you generate stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
No account required
IssueFolio does not ask you to create an account, and there is no sign-in. There is no server that holds your projects.
Where your data lives
- Projects, issues, photos, annotations, and settings are stored locally on your device.
- The app works fully offline. No internet connection is needed to capture issues or generate reports.
- Nothing in your projects is uploaded to a server by the app.
What you choose to share
- Exporting a PDF, sharing via the system share sheet, or exporting a project backup sends data only through the channel you pick (mail, messages, files, and so on).
- Project backups are files you control. You decide where to keep them.
Permissions
- Camera — used only when you take a photo inside the app.
- Photos — used only when you import a photo from your library.
Each permission is requested the first time you take the related action, and you can change your choice in iOS Settings at any time. Core features still work if you decline.
Purchases
IssueFolio is a paid app purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment and purchase history are processed by Apple. You may re-download IssueFolio on compatible Apple devices using the same Apple ID, subject to Apple's policies. Project data does not sync between devices.
Children
IssueFolio is a professional field-reporting tool and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this changes, this page will be updated before any new behavior ships.
Contact
IssueFolio does not store your project data on its servers, so we cannot access, recover, correct, or delete projects stored on your device. For privacy questions, email us. To manage your data, use the in-app tools to edit, delete, or export a backup.
